Current Projects
At The Roots Lab, our current research explores how systemic inequities shape the lives and well-being of Black youth. From developing the first culturally grounded tool to measure adultification, to studying how appearance influences healthcare delivery, our projects center youth voices through community-based, arts-informed, and mixed-methods approaches. We’re committed to generating knowledge that drives policy change, supports identity development, and advances racial justice in education, health, and beyond.
